Austin’s and my biggest reason for starting Perdido Primary Care is so we can offer a more personalized and patient-centered approach to healthcare. Without the constraints of insurance billing and reimbursement, we are able to spend more time with each patient, listening to their concerns, answering questions, and developing individualized treatment plans. This can lead to better communication with our patients, increased trust and rapport, and improved patient engagement in their own healthcare. Patients are more likely to adhere to treatment plans and make positive lifestyle changes when they feel heard and supported by their primary care provider. Austin and I are both driven by the desire to have a personal relationship with each of our patients. We are vested in our patients and want them to always feel that. We have become disheartened by the disconnect between patient and provider due to the overwhelming constraints that are put on providers. We both love the field of medicine and we feel honored to be in this profession serving our community.
